About our staff

At After School Programs, Inc. we take pride In staffing each of our programs with qualified childcare professionals. All staff is required to undergo a thorough screening process by our Human Resources department as well as a criminal background and medical screening test required by law.

Each site has a Site Director who meets the educational requirements required by law. The Site Director is on site daily to coordinate and supervise all staff and activities. Many of our counselors are enrolled in college or have had past experience working with children. All staff is required to attend a mandatory 4 hour orientation. In addition, all childcare personnel are required to take the 40-hour child care training course mandated by law as well as 10 hours of in-service training yearly. In addition, many of our programs employ school board teachers to implement special activities such as computers, art, and music.
