Providing excellence in afterschool child-care programs

Established in 1972, Camp Renegade is proud to offer one of Florida’s most advanced and most respected child-care programs for students ages 6 – 12.

At Camp Renegade, your child will enjoy year-round opportunities for fun, learning, and social development. Each and every day, whether your child is enrolled in Camp Renegade’s after-school, school holiday, or summer camp programs, he or she will discover the excitement and challenges of new experiences shared with friends.

Camp Renegade offers a mix of activities to nourish your child’s mind and body through intellectual and creative experiences, cultural events, games, sports, and physical fitness.

Plus, Camp Renegade offers a unique and flexible payment policy designed to assist the ever-changing needs of today’s families. You pay only for those days your child attends.

Parents and educators alike agree – “Camp Renegade excels in child care, safety, learning experiences, and fun beyond the classroom.”

The Advantages of Professional Staff

Camp Renegade adheres to the highest staffing qualifications. All employees are mandated to pass an FBI Level II screening and background check, including fingerprints. They are trained and certified in CPR and first aid. They have completed 40 hours of specialized child-care training, and must refresh their training annually with 10 additional hours of in-service educational programs.

We strive to maintain a staff-to-child ratio of one staff member for every 15 children, which is lower than the 1-to-25 ratio required by law. We believe that smaller groups can be more safely supervised and that our child-care professionals can more readily provide individual nurturing and responsiveness to the children in their care. Most importantly, our child-care professionals are friendly, compassionate, and caring individuals whose primary concern is your child’s well-being, safety, and enjoyment.

For your child’s safety, professional staff mechanics maintain our buses, which are inspected to meet the standards set by the State of Florida. Bus drivers are provided with onboard communication. All bus drivers possess commercial driver licenses, are drug tested, certified by Red Cross, and trained in CPR.
